2011 is both a new year and a new stage of development for Ignite The Dark. After last year’s premiere performance and the overwhelming responses received, we found that we had managed to accrue quite a large degree of resources.
This was not only the desired result but we found that it also presented to us an opportunity to re-evaluate and consolidate where we wanted to take the company from here.
After working hard throughout the remainder of 2010 discovering and refining how we wanted the company to progress from this point, how to shape it, and more importantly how to define this new company model, now in 2011, we are ready to implement this plan.
Firstly, as a centralized resource, we have launched the new IGNITE THE DARK website. This new website’s structure will allow us a greater connectivity and interaction with our audience, giving an opportunity for feed back and community development, as well as to keep people up to date with all that the company is up to, particularly with the addition of our email subscription service and links to Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
And secondly we have the announcement of our next major work under developement titled: The Earth, The Sea and The Moon.
The Earth, The Sea and The Moon is a very important production for us as it will further and more definitively demonstrate Ignite The Dark’s intent on focusing on story/narrative driven dance theatre.
